Based in the Kansas City area, SHARING A VISION FOR GENERATIONS began raising funds to award scholarships to American Indian women attending accredited tribally chartered colleges in 2002. Our first scholarships were awarded to outstanding female students at Oglala Lakota College on the Pine Ridge Reservation. In 2006 Sinte Gleska University on Rosebud Reservation was added to the scholarship program.

Members of SHARING A VISION FOR GENERATIONS have been traveling to the Pine Ridge Reservation since 1995, building relationships and friendships.
In 2004 we became "SHARING A VISION FOR GENERATIONS," named by Elder and Oglala Lakota College Trustee, Marie Randall.

We are currently awarding scholarships to outstanding enrolled female students in Oglala Lakota College's Graduate Lakota Leadership/Management degree program; undergraduate students in Oglala Lakota College's Applied Science & Technology Program; second year students in Oglala Lakota College's Nursing Program; and undergraduate students in the Lakota Studies Program at Sinte Gleska University.
