Francine Parmenter graduated from Oglala Lakota college with a bachelor's degree in Business Management. At graduation ceremonies, she received an award for the highest GPA in her class. Speaking to SAV donors, she said, "Knowing you were supporting me was a great encouragement."

Francine plans to get her masters degree with an emphasis in entrepreneurship. Her dream is to open a Quik Lube business on the reservation. "These services are not available here," she said."People must drive 50 miles to find a good mechanic." As part of her business classes at OLC, Francine has already prepared a business plan.

With the help of SAV scholarships, Tanya Sharp Fish has steadily worked her way toward a bachelor's degree. She was awarded an AA in Businsess computers in 2005 and an AA in Business Administration in 2006. At graduation ceremonies in 2007 Tanya received her bachelor's in Business Administration.

SAV thanks our generous donors for their scholarship support of these dedicated American Indian women. The education they have received enables them to improve the quality of life for their families and communities.

We deeply appreciate our wonderful partnerships with faculty and staff at Oglala Lakota College and Sinte Gleska University.

Melanie Two Eagle has been a Sharing A Vision scholarship recipient since 2005, when she received an BA degree in Business. Working steadily toward her Masters degree in the Lakota Leadership and Management graduate program, she received SAV scholarships each semester. In addition to the financial assistance, Melanie also appreciated the encouragement and support of SAV members. Her dream of attaining this level of education was realized in June 2008. She looks forward to focusing her work now on assisting her community through Tribal leadership and community action projects. Her 7-year-old son, who has watched his mother work hard to gain her education, aspires to do the same for himself.
